Please try downloading the binary before attempting to compile and link
the source code. The binary install is the preferred method.
If you have post installation problems the authors and the
support team will be able to support your requests much quicker.
You will probably find that it runs on your
system. It has
been tested on several distributions including the latest revisions of
Debian, Ubuntu,
Kubuntu, Mandriva, Mandrake, SuSE, and Puppy Linux. The
binary is a staticly linked executable that only requires hamlib
version 1.2.6 on your system. Beginning with version 2.08 the older libc++-5.0.so library dependency is updated to libc++-6.0.
Before downloading and trying to use this program
you should take the time to read the On-Line-Help
or download the complete Help file web pages and study them. If
you have been running a previous version you will have to configure the
new version. You will find many new configurable items. The
old configuration files are not used in 2.0. Take time to read
about the team and send them a word of thanks at the linuxham yahoo group.
View the Change log here. If you elect to compile from source you can create
an executable that does not require the hamlib library.
- Now with multi-signal psk viewer
- Major revision to the compile from source code - now uses the GNU configure, make, make install process
- Added selectable (and auto) sample rates to the PortAudio sound card interface
- Interfaces to the Kachina and ArgoV CAT programs also on this web site.
- Supports various transmitter PTT modes.
- Digitally implemented receive filters optimized for the mode in use.
- Filter bandwidth can be user selected in most modes.
- CW ops from 2 to 200 WPM - weight works like the K40 CW keyer
- Waterfall video ID, controllable from dialog or can be invoked in a macro definition
- Macro auto-timer / repeat capability
- Macro's allow contest counter operations
- Intefaces to both flarq and pskmail, both of which are ARQ protocol programs
The instructions on
compiling from source should be carefully followed as compiling and
linking the program requires several libraries and development headers.
Install from source.
